From July 10th to 12th, “Thousands of Guidance, Ten Thousands of Training” agrotechnology upgrading action and Shanghai Vegetable Green Production Technician Training Course jointly organized by Shanghai Agricultural Technology Extension Service Center and Shanghai Comprehensive Experiment Station of National Bulk Vegetable Industry Technology System was held in Qingpu. The Chinese coordinator of Econutri project, post expert of National Bulk Vegetable Industry Technology System, Prof. Chen Qing of China Agricultural University made a technical report on “Facility Soil Improvement and Precise Water and Fertilizer Management”.
Professor Chen Qing pointed out in his report that one of the key factors leading to the degradation of the quality of facility soils is the soil nitrate nitrogen and calcium and magnesium leaching caused by blind water and fertilizer management, which in turn leads to soil acidification; soil acidification and the accompanying secondary salinization start the process of facility soil degradation. Eutrophication, such as soil phosphorus accumulation, soil acidification and salinization, and crop succession barriers have resulted in poor crop root development and increased dependence on soil nutrient supply, increasing the burden of fertilizer application.
The key to eliminating soil degradation is strict control of water and fertilizer inputs, and the Precision Water and Fertilizer Integration (PWFI) technology promoted by the ECONUTRI project, with the help of automated water and fertilizer machines and the project’s DSS expert system, can greatly increase the water and nutrient utilization rate of the vegetable fields and virtually control the occurrence of washout, and therefore plays a very important role in slowing down soil acidification and eliminating the loss of nitrogen and phosphorus nutrients to the water body and the atmospheric environment. important role.
The training played the role of grass-roots technicians in vegetable production safety supervision, production technology promotion and green crop production, and effectively promoted the healthy development of Shanghai’s vegetable green production technician team. Participants in the training have said that they will seriously draw on the advice of the experts, and strive to exchange the results of this meeting into specific work practices. At the same time, through the technical promotion of these grass-roots scientific and technological personnel, to better implement advanced cultivation methods and green production measures to the production line in Shanghai suburbs, and promote Shanghai vegetable production towards high-quality, high-efficiency, green, standardized direction.
A total of more than 70 vegetable cultivation professionals and technicians participated in the on-site training. Experts invited to participate in this training session also included experts from the National Bulk Vegetable Industry Technology System (NBVITS) and the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CASA) Vegetable and Flower Institute (VFI), researcher Mr. Li Baogu, Dutch expert Mr. Jan Hermes, and experts from Donghua University (DHU) and Shanghai University (SEU), who also participated in the training session. JAN HERMSE, a Dutch expert, researcher Cai Dongqing of Donghua University, researcher Bo Tianyue and researcher Ding Xiaotao of Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
