Within ECONUTRI, Vervaet is working on a precision solution that can help to optimize field application of manure and slurry. The Vervaet Precision Manure Application System uses real-time nutrient sensing of the applied manure, variable rate application of manure on the field (VRA), and data-driven decision-making. The system ensures optimal nutrient distribution, reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) and ammonia (NH₃) emissions while improving soil fertility and crop yields.
