The Augmenta Agronomy Team has been hard at work in the fields, inspecting and preparing for the new cultivation period. Early to mid-tillering is the timing for appropriate Nitrogen application, to maintain/boost the essential nutrients for cereal crops and secure potential yield. Therefore, a right inspection of the field’s and crop’s parameters is crucial for the right pilot design regarding the ECONUTRI project.

Our testing area consists of a total acreage of 30 hectares distributed in 7 fields spanning in two regions in Thessaly, Greece. Nitrogen applications and agronomic on-site assessments had been undertaken in our pilot fields to assess the impact of Variable Rate Application (VRA) operations facilitated by the Augmenta Field Analyzer and other associated technologies on the field.

This approach not only ensures secured yields but also brings savings to our farmers while minimizing the environmental footprint. This Test Case is a collaborative effort with the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA), as part of ECONUTRI project, marking another step towards sustainable and innovative agriculture.
