On April 9 2024, Rodney Thompson from University of Almeria ( UAL) and Wim Voogt from Wageningen University and Research (WUR), visited the experiments from Yuhui Qiao from China Agricultural University (CAU) in Pinggu district in Beijing. They had thorough discussion with the research team about the design of the experiments, the data to collect for proper nutrient balance calculation and about calculation methods of decomposition of organic matter.
In addition, they visited an organic farm with composting trials and a demonstration of sensors for measuring various soil parameters, where they give some recommendations and guidance for measuring soil moisture content, EC and pH of soil solution and temperature.
