On April 16 2024, a workshop was organized by our partner Hebei Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences in Shijjuazhuang (HAAFS) (Ch), to discuss the modelling details of Decision Support Systems (DSSs) for fertigation and for organic fertiliser application in conventional and in organic greenhouse vegetable production.
Both DSSs are the innovations in WP3 worked on in Spain and in the Netherlands and will be incorporated also in the innovations working on at HAAFS. Rodney Thompson and Wim Voogt, from University of Almeria (UAL) and Wageningen University and Research (WUR) respectively, presented the topics ‘The VegSyst-DSS for nutrient and irrigation recommendations for vegetable crops grown in greenhouses’ and ‘Soil fertility management in organic greenhouse crops’, within the framework of their research in the ECONUTRI project.
