On 9 September 2024, the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) welcomed four executives from the Shanghai Water Board, invited by the ECONUTRI project team. The visit focused on showcasing the ISE-NUTRISENSE technology developed within the ECONUTRI framework.
This innovative system enables the recycling of greenhouse effluents, contributing to significant water savings and more efficient nutrient management. The visiting delegation was given a comprehensive tour of the facilities and engaged in fruitful discussions on the potential for applying the technology in large-scale agricultural systems.
The exchange underscored the value of ongoing EU-China cooperation in advancing sustainable agricultural practices and fostering global solutions to water and nutrient challenges.
