ILVO brought ECONUTRI to the attention of the agrifood innovation community during AgriTechDay ’23: Robotics and AI in Agrifoo , an event held on 7 June 2023 in Merelbeke, Belgium.
The event, organized by ILVO, showcased innovative technologies supporting the future of sustainable agriculture. A series of live demonstrations was presented, including an electrically powered autonomous tractor, autonomous weeding between crop rows and plants, and real-time data collection and processing using sensors and AI models in the cloud.
During the event, ILVO also presented a Flemish first on its fields in Merelbeke: the first electric tractor capable of driving autonomously, without a driver. Other advanced agricultural machinery and high-tech equipment were also demonstrated to manufacturers and stakeholders from the agricultural sector.
Through its participation, ILVO highlighted Econutri’s contribution to nature-based and technology-supported solutions for improved nutrient management, with the broader aim of enhancing soil, water and air quality.
