On 31/10, the Agricultural Research Institute (ARI) and the Open University of Cyprus held a conference at the Presidential Palace in Nicosia, spotlighting greenhouse gas emissions in agriculture and the circular economy’s role in combating climate change
The event featured a keynote by Dr. Maria Panayiotou, Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Environment, along with presentations from researchers. Also, the latest findings from the ARI research in the ECONUTRi project, on emissions from animal manure were presented, emphasizing the urgent need for a dedicated emissions policy for Cypriot farms.
