Embarking on a 42-Month Journey Towards Agricultural Excellence

The Horizon Europe project, ECONUTRI, officially commenced its journey on November 30, 2022. Hosted at the Agricultural University of Athens, the project’s kick-off meeting was a three-day event.

The initial two days were dedicated to comprehensive presentations covering the technical and financial aspects of the program. Attendees delved deep into discussions, laying the groundwork for the project’s implementation and success.

A highlight of the event was the enlightening field trip on the third day. Participants embarked on a journey to explore the greenhouse facilities of key stakeholder, IGC (Intelligent Green Crops) S.A., gaining valuable insights into cutting-edge agricultural technologies. The excursion concluded with a visit to the renowned archaeological site of Delphi, enriching the experience with cultural and historical significance.

Among the distinguished attendees were representatives from four Greek stakeholders: ALAGRO, BIOGAS Preveza, SYNTAGI Green Progress – Antonakis M. & E., and IGC. The meeting also enjoyed the virtual presence of Policy Officer Michael WOLF via Zoom, while Project Officer Benedicte Leboutte and Financial Officer Fabio Cacciafesta lent their expertise in person.

Notably, Prof. Dr. Andrea Knierim from the University of Hohenheim, Germany, was also present, sharing insights into the Trans4num project, also selected for funding in the same call, adding an extra perspective to the discussions.
