On 21 April 2025, as part of the EU-China ECONUTRI project, the University of Almeria hosted a delegation of 22 business and media representatives from China’s agricultural sector. The visit was organized within the framework of the 2025 China-Europe Sustainable Agriculture and Innovation Products Exchange Delegation.

During their visit, the group toured UAL’s Research Farm and explored cutting-edge developments in agricultural innovation. They witnessed digital monitoring systems for greenhouse conditions, modern fertigation technologies, optimized irrigation practices, and representative greenhouse crop models.

At the University, presentations highlighted the Almeria greenhouse model, advanced fertigation systems, and best practices for sustainable water and nutrient management.

The exchange offered a unique opportunity to foster collaboration, share expertise, and strengthen ties between European and Chinese agricultural innovation leaders.
