On June 20-21, 2024, Prof. Lidia Sas-Paszt from InHort participated in the CNCIC Global Special Fertilizer Conference (SFC GLOBAL 2024) in China, where she presented groundbreaking research and technological innovations developed within the EcoNutri project. The conference, themed “Global Technology Empowering Fertilizer Efficiency Enhancement and Biological Innovation Leading High-Quality Agricultural Development,” brought together experts, researchers, and industry leaders to explore advancements in sustainable fertilization and agricultural innovation.
During her presentation, Prof. Sas-Paszt introduced cutting-edge research on biofertilizers, emphasizing their role in enhancing soil fertility and improving the quality of horticultural crops. She highlighted the application of microbial fertilizers, developed through long-term research at the Institute of Horticulture-PIB’s Department of Microbiology and Rhizosphere in Skierniewice, Poland.
The presentation focused on innovative fertilization strategies, showcasing how microbial fertilizers contribute to improved plant health and productivity while reducing environmental impact. She also emphasized the collaboration between research institutions and fertilizer companies to bring scientific advances into practical agricultural use.
Prof. Sas-Paszt’s participation in this international event contributed to expanding scientific cooperation between Poland, China, and the European Union. Discussions at the conference facilitated new connections between the Institute of Horticulture-PIB, Nanjing Agricultural University, Hebei Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences, and China Agricultural University, setting the groundwork for future collaboration in the field of integrated horticultural production technologies.
