The Spanish newspaper Diario de Almería published an article presenting ECONUTRI as a new European project focused on improving fertigation in commercial farms while reducing the use of water and fertilisers.

The article highlights the participation of the University of Almería (UAL) and COEXPHAL, with demonstration trials launched in the greenhouse of Esther Molina, a farmer from Coprohníjar SCA These trials aim to compare traditional irrigation practices with innovative sensor-based and decision-support approaches, including the VEGSYST-DSS tool developed by UAL.

Through these activities, ECONUTRI supports more sustainable greenhouse production, helping farmers optimize resources, reduce costs, and contribute to the project’s wider objective of preventing pollution in soil, water, and air.
