On June 15, 2024, the DISAFA – University of Turin campus in Grugliasco hosted Il Campus della Sostenibilità, a 3-hour public event dedicated to environmental awareness, scientific outreach, and sustainable innovation.
Organized in collaboration with FAI Giovani, the initiative featured guided tours of the university’s research labs, greenhouses, and experimental fields, offering participants the opportunity to engage directly with researchers and explore real-world sustainability applications.
Throughout the event:
- Visitors took part in live AgroTalk interviews and thematic discussions on topics such as biodiversity, circularity, and natural resource protection, supported by European projects including ECONUTRI, NBSoil, and RADIANT.
- Approximately 100 citizens participated, gaining insight into current research on nutrient recovery, sustainable agriculture, and the role of scientific innovation in everyday life.
The event successfully fostered community engagement and strengthened the link between research, education, and sustainable rural development.
