On 13 July 2025, CNH/Augmenta , as an industrial partner in ECONUTRI, announced the successful completion of the wheat harvest for this season’s Nitrogen Variable Rate Application (VRA) pilot trials.

The trials were carried out by the CNH Agronomy Team in collaboration with the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA), focusing on the use of precision nitrogen management in cereal crops.

These pilot trials represent an important step in demonstrating the agronomic and environmental benefits of variable rate nitrogen application, aiming to optimize fertilizer use, improve nitrogen use efficiency and support more sustainable crop production.

Initial results are already promising, indicating a positive impact of VRA on both yield performance and nitrogen use efficiency. The next phase will focus on detailed yield analysis and data interpretation, which will provide further insights into the effectiveness of precision nitrogen management under field conditions.
