From 17 to 21 May 2025, China Agricultural University (CAU), in collaboration with the ECONUTRI Project and stakeholder Ruifeng Ecological, hosted the first Agri-Research Executive Summer School for Ecological Agriculture.

The programme gathered 49 senior executives from leading agro-input enterprises and distribution networks across China for an intensive five-day exchange combining academic expertise, policy dialogue, and practical training to shape the future of sustainable agriculture.

Keynote Presentations

The training featured a distinguished lineup of academic experts and institutional leaders:

  • Prof. Gu Zheng (CAU MBA Education Center): Addressed market-driven differentiation, cautioning against blind technological upgrades without consumer focus.
  • Prof. Chen Honghua (CAU College of Economics and Management): Presented national strategies such as “Storing Grain in the Land”, carbon farming, and rural revitalization, emphasizing opportunities for agro-input enterprises.
  • Assoc. Prof. Mu Kanggou (CAU, ECONUTRI Task Leader): Explained fertilizer synergists and their role in improving nutrient efficiency while reducing losses.
  • Wang Wen (Party Secretary, CAU College of Resources and Environmental Sciences): Highlighted the strategic importance of the summer school in advancing China’s green agricultural transition.

Impact

The summer school concluded with a graduation ceremony under the banner “Synergy · Coexistence · Future”. All participants received certificates and many have already begun initiating new projects, exploring digital marketing strategies, and applying the knowledge gained to strengthen sustainable agriculture in their enterprises.

This activity underscored the power of EU–China collaboration in building capacity for green agricultural transformation, fully aligned with ECONUTRI’s mission.
