On Wednesday, 11 February 2026, the event “Radici – Agricultural Education for a Sustainable Future” took place at the University Campus of Università degli Studi di Torino (UNITO), welcoming more than 300 students from 21 local high schools.

The initiative aimed to inspire young students by introducing them to contemporary challenges and innovations in agricultural sciences. Throughout the day, participants engaged with researchers and academics, exploring key topics such as sustainable and precision agriculture, phytoremediation, plant pathology and physiology, and advanced plant phenotyping.

Among the featured activities, the ECONUTRI Project was presented as an example of how European research supports the transition towards circular, nutrient-smart, and environmentally sustainable agricultural systems.

The event provided students with valuable insight into academic pathways and research opportunities in the agri-food and environmental sectors, strengthening the connection between secondary education and university-level scientific research.
“Radici” once again demonstrated the crucial role of education in fostering awareness, innovation, and engagement among the next generation of agricultural professionals.
