From 9 to 16 August 2025, Dimitrios Savvas, from the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA), visited China for a series of scientific and networking activities with the project’s Chinese partners.

This was the second visit of Prof. Savvas to China in the framework of ECONUTRI, aiming to reinforce cooperation on sustainable nutrient management in agriculture and to advance the EU–China research dialogue.

The program included academic exchanges and symposia at:

  • China Agricultural University (CAU), Beijing
  • Hebei Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences (HAAFS), Shijiazhuang
  • Shouguang Vegetable Industry Group (SVG), Shandong

Highlights of the visit included keynote lectures, scientific discussions, and on-site demonstrations, further consolidating joint efforts to develop innovative, sustainable solutions for reducing nutrient losses, greenhouse gas emissions, and fertilizer dependency.
