The Institute of Soil Science and Plant Cultivation – State Research Institute (IUNG-PIB), through its Department of Agricultural Microbiology, organised the scientific conference “Microbiological Preparations in Agriculture and Environmental Protection”, held in Puławy, Poland, on 27–28 May 2025.

At the conference, Prof. Lidia Sas-Paszt and co-authors from InHort, presented the paper “Innowacyjne technologie mikrobiologiczne dla upraw roślin ogrodniczych i poprawy żyzności gleb – wyniki projektów EcoNutri, ResBerry, Excalibur, EcoFruits, BioFertil, Akwaponika” (“Innovative microbiological technologies for horticultural crops and soil fertility improvement – results from the projects EcoNutri, ResBerry, Excalibur, EcoFruits, BioFertil and Akwaponika”).

The presentation highlighted innovative microbiological approaches for horticultural crops, soil fertility improvement, and reducing pollution of soil, water and air.

In addition to her presentation, Prof. Sas-Paszt also co-chaired Session III of the conference, together with Dr. habil. Magdalena Zaborowska.

The contribution reflects ECONUTRI’s commitment to sustainable, nutrient-smart agriculture and the role of microbiological innovation in supporting more environmentally responsible horticultural systems.
