4 November 2024 – ARI is Introducing Hydroponic Technology to Cyprus’ Young Farmers

On November 4, 2024, the Agricultural Research Institute (ARI) organized an informational and technology transfer session at its Experimental Mansion in Tochni, Larnaca. The event introduced hydroponic system technology to 29 young farmers participating in the Rural Development Programme (RDP) 2014-2020, supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Environment.

As part of the ECONUTRI project, the session showcased innovative methods aimed at enhancing sustainability and productivity in agriculture. By exploring hydroponic systems, farmers gained valuable insights into modern farming techniques that reduce resource use and improve yields.
