A member of the AUA team, Evagelos Karousis, participated in the TALLHEDA Project’s 3rd Round of the Brainstorming Action, presenting the work carried out within ECONUTRI and underscoring the strong synergies between the two Horizon Europe initiatives. The event was held on 24–25 November 2025 at the Library and Information Centre of AUA in Athens, Greece
During the session, E. Karousis (PhD Candidate, AUA) presented ECONUTRI’s advancements on novel sensors and decision-support systems (DSS), demonstrating how machine learning and AI technologies can be applied to:
- optimise nutrient and water supply in greenhouse crops,
- enhance resource-use efficiency, and
- minimise environmental impacts through more precise and adaptive management practices.
This contribution highlighted how ECONUTRI leverages digital innovation and data-driven approaches to support farmers in reducing nutrient losses and improving sustainability in horticulture.
About the TALLHEDA Project
