The coordinator of the ECONUTRI Project, Professor Dimitrios Savvas, together with Associate Professor Georgia Ntatsi, both from the Agricultural University of Athens, presented the project’s work at a conference hosted by the Messara Agricultural School in Crete.

The event, titled “Reduction of water and fertilizer consumption in greenhouse crops”, focused on innovative strategies to improve the sustainability of greenhouse production. The ECONUTRI team highlighted how the project addresses key challenges in agriculture, including fertilizer dependency, plant nutrition efficiency, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, and ammonia (NH₃) mitigation, while also fostering EU–China cooperation in the agro-food sector.
