The substantive part of the training was led by Prof. Dr. Lidia Sas-Paszt, the coordinator of the workshops.

During the presentation titled „Polish Microbiological Fertilizer Products and Microbiologically Enriched Biostimulants in Horticultural Crops,” Professor Sas-Paszt introduced participants to the latest trends and innovations in the field. The lecture began with an introduction to the issues of microbiological fertilizers, defining their role in supporting the cultivation of horticultural plants.

Professor Sas-Paszt presented research results and practical field experiences, illustrating how the use of microbiological fertilizers improves vegetative growth, crop quality, and the overall health of horticultural and agricultural plants. She discussed examples of biostimulant applications in the cultivation of specific horticultural plant species, emphasizing the environmental benefits, including the reduction of traditional chemical fertilizers and plant protection measures.

The presentation by Prof. Lidia Sas-Paszt was rich in specific examples of biostimulation under the influence of biofertilization in plant cultivation and research results, providing participants with comprehensive knowledge about Polish microbiological fertilizer products, biofertilizers, and microbiologically enriched biostimulants.

Prof. Lidia Sas-Paszt also discussed the goals and results of the EcoNutri project on Innovative technologies reducing nutrient pollution from manure and other organic materials: Task 2.1. Improve and optimize technologies to recycle organic waste and explore nutrient recovery. 2.1.3 The elaborated consortia of microorganisms deposited in the Symbio Bank of InHort, selected for the experiment with strawberry, apple and cucumber plants. Optimizing composting by use of specific microbial consortia.

In the next part of the meeting, Dr. Krzysztof Górnik discussed technologies for microbiological seed treatment and the beneficial impact of microbiological biopreparations on improving the quality of seeds and plant photosynthesis efficiency.

Dr. Anna Lisek presented the topic of molecular identification of beneficial microorganisms in microbiological fertilizer products and soil.

Another presentation was delivered by a representative of the Institute of Soil Science and Plant Cultivation – State Research Institute, Dr. Anna Gałązka, focusing on the applications of microbiologically enriched fertilizer products in agriculture and environmental protection, particularly in the cultivation of leguminous plants.

The training served as a platform for the exchange of scientific and practical knowledge and concluded with a summary and an open discussion, indicating significant interest among participants in the subject matter. The event brought together representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, employees of Agricultural Advisory Centers, Provincial Inspectorates of Plant Protection and Seed Certification, as well as companies involved in the production of fertilizers, biofertilizers, and microbiological fertilizer products.

<div class="fusion-layout-column
