The Chinese part of Econutri is officially underway!

On November 17, 2023, the kick-off meeting for the Chinese part of the EU-China cooperation project ECONUTRI took place. With the EU part having commenced a year ago, ECONUTRI is now operating at full capacity.

The overall goal is to minimize nutrient losses (NO3-N and P) to water bodies and the atmosphere resulting from agricultural activities in both animal and plant production. These topics hold significant importance for both China and European countries.

The kick-off meeting, held at the China Agricultural University in Beijing, saw the participation of delegates from the six Chinese partners:

  1. Institute of Soil Fertilizer and Environmental Resources, Heilongjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences (HAAS).
  2. Stanley Agriculture Group (Stanley)
  3. Shouguang Vegetable Industry Holding Group Co., Ltd (SVG)
  4. Nanjing Agricultural University (NAU
  5. China Agricultural University (CAU)
  6. Institute of Agro-resources and Environment, hebei Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences (HAAFS)

Furthermore, Rodney Thompson from University of Almeria (UAL, ES), and Wim Voogt from Wageningen University & Research (WUR, NL) participated as delegates from the EU partners of ECONUTRI.
