
On 22 April 2024, project partners Vervaet and ODYC organised the ODYC Workshop in Biervliet, the Netherlands, focusing on innovation in manure application.
The event brought together around 80 participants, providing an excellent opportunity for exchange among professionals and stakeholders interested in sustainable and innovative agricultural practices.
The workshop showcased new approaches and developments in manure application, highlighting the importance of innovation in improving nutrient management and supporting more efficient and environmentally responsible farming systems.
Particular emphasis was placed on how data-driven optimisations, supported through VERVAET Connect, can contribute to more efficient agricultural practices and help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The combination of innovative machinery, data generation, and data sharing was presented as a key pathway towards smarter and more sustainable manure application.
The event also provided a valuable opportunity to present ECONUTRI to a specialised audience and to underline the importance of digital tools and innovation in advancing sustainable nutrient management.
