ECONUTRI partners participated in the GreenSys Conference (22–27 June 2025), presenting cutting-edge research on sustainable greenhouse systems. Contributions included innovative approaches to nutrient management and decision support tools (AUA, UTH, UAL) as well as advanced modelling on the environmental impacts of biogas waste and climate-resilient production planning (IGZ). These presentations reflect ECONUTRI’s commitment to developing solutions that enhance resource efficiency, reduce emissions, and support the transition to sustainable horticulture.

AUA
Abstract Title: Alternative options for the application of ion selective electrodes to optimize plant nutrition in a closed-loop soilless tomato crop

UTH
Abstract Title: Evaluation of nitrogen and phosphorus leaching reduction in a cascade soilless system with cluster-cherry tomato combination

UAL
Abstract Title: Use of VegSyst-DSS for nutrients recommendations in perlite grown tomato in Mediterranean greenhouses

IGZ
Abstract Title: Modelling and simulating the environmental effects of biogas-waste scenarios used in greenhouse crop production
Abstract Title: Optimised site-specific production system planning for future climates using IPCC scenarios
