On 10 March 2026, students visited ATB\u2019s ECONUTRI demonstration site at LVAT Gro\u00df Kreutz, where they had the opportunity to explore how research and innovation can support more sustainable livestock production systems.<\/p>\n

The visit began with a short introductory presentation on the environmental impacts associated with livestock farming. Students were introduced to key challenges such as nutrient losses, greenhouse gas emissions, and resource efficiency, while also learning about the main objectives of the ECONUTRI project. Particular emphasis was placed on the innovative technologies and management practices being tested within the project to reduce the environmental footprint of livestock systems.<\/p>\n

Following the presentation, the students took part in a guided tour of the farm. During the visit, they were shown how different ECONUTRI innovation technologies are implemented and monitored in practice. The tour provided valuable insight into how these solutions can improve nutrient efficiency and contribute to more environmentally responsible livestock production.<\/p>\n

The students were also introduced to sustainable manure management strategies applied at the demonstration site. Explanations focused on how improved manure handling, storage, and application practices can enhance nutrient recycling and help protect the environment.<\/p>\n

Overall, the visit offered a valuable opportunity for students to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world agricultural practices.
